Mike Crawford graduated from Temple University in 2004 with a BA in filmmaking. Upon graduation, he, his cousin Joe Lavin and friend Ben Chandler formed Halogen Productions LLC. Mike's main goal was to write and direct a short film to see if he wanted to truly pursue filmmaking and a feature film. The result of their endeavors was "Joe's Job" - a 28 minute short about a man confronting the demons of his past in order to move on successfully in life.
That accomplished, Mike and Joe formed Neptune Media LLC and began the three year production of their first feature film - "The Despair".
Shot on a budget of $17,000, this somber tale is about seven drug addicts who leave rehab and go on an all out binge only to succumb, one at a time to their fateful addictions. While still seeking distribution, "The Despair" was featured in multiple film festivals and has received a number of positive reviews.
In addition to these two endeavors, Mike has created numerous music videos, short films, and television commercials. While a talented shooter and editor, Mike's strongest points are in writing and directing actors for performance.
